A message from the Superintendent

Dear Community,

It's hard to believe that today opens the sixth week of the 25/26 school year. It has been an outstanding
start, with strong showings at our Open House events, students settling into routines, and our district
taking steps forward in our instructional initiatives. As fall rolls forward, I write to you to make you
aware of a couple of exciting events taking place this week.

This Friday, the Stallions of Sterling Heights host Marine City, and a rivalry is renewed as Cousino hosts
Warren Mott. Both games kickoff at 7 pm. There is nothing quite like the marching bands and our
athletes competing under the lights on a Friday night in the fall.

In honor of the big games this week, I am calling upon all current, future, and former Stallions, Patriots,
Marauders (and Orioles) to show their school pride this Friday, October 3. Wherever your day takes
you, be proud to show your school spirit, and if you can, join us for one of our games that evening to
cheer for our students. Share your pictures with us at [email protected].

If you cannot join us on Friday night, another chance to show your school spirit is at Warren Mott High
School on Sunday, October 5, at 4:00 in the afternoon during "Band-O-Rama," featuring our 3 marching
bands. We also have several other home events for our fall teams during the month of October. I had
the chance to see two of our varsity volleyball teams in action recently, if you have not made it to a
game, you should!

Warren Consolidated Schools is a special district, serving a special community. Let's show our school
pride on Friday and get together to make memories.

Looking forward to seeing you at the game!

Sincerely,

John C. Bernia, Jr., Ed. D.
