Sharon Nemeth appointed to the Warren Consolidated Board of Education

Warren, MI – The Warren Consolidated Schools Board of Education appointed Sharon Nemeth as a Trustee at their May 7 special meeting.

Nemeth fills the seat left vacant by Brian White, who resigned effective April 15. May 21 will be her first board meeting, and her term will expire in December 2026.

Nemeth, a Sterling Heights resident, has lived in the district for 26 years. She has been involved in WCS for more than 13 years through various volunteer opportunities. Nemeth holds a degree from the University of Michigan and currently works as a Senior Accounting Associate.

Nemeth’s son graduated from Cousino High School in 2024 and is currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and her daughter is a junior at Cousino High School and Macomb Mathematics Science Technology Center (MMSTC).

“I look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members, the superintendent, students, staff, and the community to ensure everyone has access to a quality, safe education,” Nemeth said. “I am especially excited to help shape policies that promote student well-being, academic excellence, and teacher support.”

In her free time, Nemeth enjoys spending time with her family, camping, attending her children’s events, reading, traveling, and spreading joy through her yard sign business.

“Sharon has a long history of being an active member of our school community,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. John C. Bernia, Jr. said. “In many ways, service on our Board of Education is her “next step,” and I am so excited to work with her.”
